Tuesday — Jackie Beltrami reported that someone overnight stole a hand-held video game and about $10 in change from an unlocked car at her Fifth Avenue home.Monday — Police charged Heather Grosskopf, 26, of Butler with bad checks for passing a bad check of $123.48 on Feb. 26 at Friedman's supermarket on East Brady Street.
8:50 a.m. Tuesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Renea Burkhart, 28, of Butler and a car driven by Mary Ridenour, 68, of Arnold, Westmoreland County, collided at Bonniebrook and Great Belt roads in Jefferson Township. Ridenour was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries.12:30 a.m. Tuesday — An SUV driven by Joseph Urlacher, 30, of Evans City struck a tree along Route 528 at the Connoquenessing-Forward Township line. Police said Urlacher, who fled the crash site before troopers arrived, faces hit-and-run and other charges.6:35 p.m. Monday — Michael Dzon, 20, of Neville Island, Allegheny County, was arrested on drug charges when police found about 1.3 pounds of suspected marijuana in his vehicle following a traffic stop on Route 422, about a half-mile east of Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.Dzon is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and possession of a Taser-type device. He was arraigned on charges and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.5:30 p.m. Sunday — George Lundin, 43, of Oakdale, Allegheny County, was arrested after police found him drunk at the 7-Eleven store on Route 68 in Jackson Township.Lundin was arraigned on charges of public drunkenness, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.3:30 p.m. Sunday — Pickup trucks driven by Charles Grimpe, 19, of Pittsburgh and Dana Thompson, 23, of Arnold collided on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township. A 17-year-old passenger in Grimpe's pickup suffered unknown injuries.10:14 p.m. Thursday — Steven Andreassi, 45, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Butler Township.1 p.m. April 26 — Three men were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Route 68 near the BP convenience store in Chicora. Charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia are Timothy Pears, 19, and Joshua Funkhouser, 22, both of Chicora, and Marc Edwards, 27, of Slippery Rock.
1:41 p.m. Monday — A motorcycle driven by Eric Estes, 23, of Harrisville struck the side of a pickup truck on Route 318 in East Lackawannock Township, Mercer County. Estes, who was wearing a helmet and suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions. Ronald Wright, 61, of Greenville was driving the pickup.
