Mildred M. Stiffy

Mildred M. Eckel Stiffy, 71, of Butler died Friday at the Alle-Kiski Medical Center.

Born Dec. 19, 1935, in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of Siebert and Esther Smyers Eckel.

She worked at MSA in Mars, and then later at C.B. Fleet Pharmaceutical in Lynchburg, Va.

She was a Methodist, and she enjoyed cross stitching.

Surviving are a son, Michael Lee Stiffy Sr. of Butler; a stepson, Charles Stiffy Jr. of Knox, Pa.; a daughter, Valerie Stiffy of Butler; five sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Longdon, and Mrs. Dolores Hickey, both of Saxonburg, Mrs. Gerald (Esther) Peth of Knox, Mrs. Thomas (Kathy) Marsh of Mars, and Mrs. Ronald (Marie) Riggs of Butler; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Stirling, and a brother, Siebert Eckel Jr.

<B>STIFFY</B> — Friends of Mildred M. Eckel Stiffy, who died Friday, April 6, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Roger Keller officiating.Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
