McGinnis

Margaret E. McGinnis, 85, of Shickshinney, Pa., formerly of Parker, died Tuesday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Born Jan. 16, 1922, in Emlenton, she was the daughter of Arthur T. and Mary A. Haggerty Milford.

A graduate of the Byrom Center School, Six Points, Pa., she enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening and baking.

She had worked in the lab at Quaker State Refinery in Emlenton, and provided in-home care for the elderly in the Emlenton and Parker areas.

Mrs. McGinnis was a member of New Zion Evangelical Congregational Church in Emlenton, its Missionary Society, and she was a lay delegate.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Mary Jo) Belles of Shickshinney; three sons, William McGinnis and his wife, Marie, of Carrollton, Ohio, Robert McGinnis and his wife, Jenny, and Leslie McGinnis, all of Parker; two sisters, Sara McNany and Georgiana Thompson, both of Emlenton; two brothers, Arthur Kenneth Milford of Parker and David William Milford of Knox, Pa.; 12 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph C. McGinnis, whom she married Aug. 12, 1947, and who died Oct. 12, 1988; two sisters, and a brother.

<B>MCGINNIS</B> — Friends of Margaret E. McGinnis, who died Thursday, April 5, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Eau Claire.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Campbell, pastor of New Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, officiating.Burial will be in Eau Claire Cemetery, Eau Claire.
