Ruth V. Jenkins
Ruth V. Jenkins, 88, died Tuesday at the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople. She had lived in Greensburg before moving to Passavant in 1993.
Born Feb. 6, 1919, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Nicholas H. and Ellen Jones Jenkins. She was the granddaughter of Lewis and Margaret Jones, who came from Wales and settled in a small farm north of Bath, Northampton County.
She enjoyed traveling. She visited several countries with her friends and often traveled east with her mother. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and needlepoint.
Miss Jenkins retired from the Allegheny Power Co. after many years.
She was a member of St. David's Society of Pittsburgh, which promotes Welsh culture, and the Park United Presbyterian Church of Zelienople.
Surviving are two cousins, Ethel George of Bath and Donna Herd of Bangor, Northampton County.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople, where funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. with the Rev. Patrick McElroy, her church pastor, officiating.
