Butler County Community College's Performing Arts Series presents the Slippery Rock University Jazz Band and Butler Tornado Big Band at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Succop Theater.

College and high school students will perform great big band classics to the latest compositions. Joining the SRU Jazz Band is Grammy Award-winning mallet player Dave Samuels of the Caribbean Jazz Project.

CABOT — A Spring Fiesta fashion show will take place Saturday at the Butler County Club, 310 Country Club Road. The second annual event is sponsored by Concordia Lutheran Ministries.The day begins with registration, basket auction and shopping at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be at 11:45 a.m., with "Fashions by Phyllis" modeled at 1:15 p.m.Tickets cost $25. PITTSBURGH — Carnegie Science Center will offer a special discount to all residents of Mars on Mars Weekend.Anyone presenting a driver's license from Mars, Pa., will receive 50 percent off Carnegie Science Center general admission on May 12 and 13.
