Donald Chutz

Donald Chutz, 89, of Harrisville, died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at his home.

Born June 1, 1917, in Edinburg, Pa., he was the son of Leonard E. and Rose (Diana) Chutz.

He was owner/partner operator of the Chutz Brothers Coal Co., formerly of Slippery Rock, and he was a member of the Butler Elks Lodge.

He was a Catholic, and he served in the Army in World War II, earning two Bronze Stars.

Surviving are his long-time companion, Pauline F. Smail Pearson, with whom he lived; a brother, Mac C. Chutz of Slippery Rock; a sister, Barbara Kress of Gibsonia; and several nieces and nephews and members of his extended family.

He was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

<B>Chutz</B> — There will be no visitation for Donald Chutz, who died Wednesday, March 28, 2007. Services will be held later at the family's convenience.Arrangements are handled by <B>Jamison Funeral Home</B>, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.
