1:35 a.m. Monday — Christin Murvin, 35, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on East Jefferson Street. Police also cited Murvin for driving the wrong way on a one-way street.Monday — Police charged John Wroblewski Jr., 39, of Center Township for allegedly threatening a 15-year girl at a West Cunningham Street home last month.Wroblewski on April 21 went to the home looking for the girl's father and the defendant's girlfriend, a police report said. The girl let Wroblewski into the home to show him that she was there alone.While in the basement, Wroblewski allegedly flipped open a pocket knife and told the girl, "If you don't want your dad dead, you better tell me where he is,"After the defendant left, the girl contacted police, who charged Wroblewski with two counts of terroristic threats.
2:36 a.m. Monday — Two Westmoreland County men were allegedly caught stealing scrap steel from railroad cars on Delmont Road.Arrested were Mark Greiner, 25, of New Kensington and James Frank Sutton, 24, of Tarentum. They are charged with theft, receiving stolen property, reckless endangerment and violation of the railroad protection act.District Judge Pete Shaffer arraigned the suspects, and sent them to the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bond each.10:22 p.m. Saturday — Randall Burbick Jr., 19, of Hermitage, Mercer County, was arrested for driving under the influence and several other traffic offenses after his vehicle struck a utility pole along Old Plank Road.10:53 p.m. Friday — Donnie Tindall, 31, of New Castle was arrested for suspicion of DUIon Route 422.
1:20 a.m. today — Christopher Maida, 20, of Milford, Pike County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence near the South Rock Apartments on Harmony Drive in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Maida also faces charges of underage drinking, an open container violation, careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.2:10 p.m. Monday — Four people were injured when cars driven by Robert Roithner, 71, of Emlenton and Lester Moore, 73, of Chicora collided at Center Drive and Stein Road in Oakland Township.Both drivers and two passengers in Moore's car, Mary Alice Moore, 70, and a 5-year-old girl, both of Chicora, were treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. Police cited Roithner for a stop sign violation.Monday — Darlene Cranmer reported a gun was stolen from her Caldwell Drive home in Jefferson Township. The theft occurred between Nov. 1 and Monday.Thursday — Unknown thieves between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. stole an eight-horsepower Honda engine, a cement saw, Dewalt laser transit/level and radio, and assorted hand tools from the Hildebrand Road home of Paul Edwards Jr. in Donegal Township. The stolen property is valued at $5,600.9 a.m. April 22 — Richard Paul Kennedy, 63, of Butler suffered moderate injuries when the golf cart he was driving collided with a car on Ralston Road in Slippery Rock Township.April 20 — Nikki Legrand reported an iPod was stolen between 6 and 8 p.m. in a burglary at her Sutton Lane home in Clay Township.April 15 — A 16-year-old girl told police someone stole an iPod from her purse at Slippery Rock High School in Slippery Rock Township.
Saturday — Police are investigating reports of several campers vandalized at the Butler Boat Club on Phillipston Road in Brady Township, Clarion County.The unknown vandals between October 2006 and April broke out windows and shot BB guns at the campers, owned by David Little of Prospect and Donald Kennedy and Gordon Kennedy, both of Butler.
10:50 p.m. Sunday — A Butler County man lost control of his car after a cigarette he tossed out the window blew back inside the vehicle, distracting him and causing a crash on Route 28 in Harrison Township, Allegheny County.Bradley Newcamp, 21, of Adams Township and a passenger, Samantha Callihan, 22, of Butler Township were taken with moderate injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh; neither was wearing a seat belt.Police said Newcamp's car hit a guardrail and rolled onto its roof. He faces charges of careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.7:20 p.m. Sunday — A tractor-trailer driven by Kenneth Meredith, 58, of Butler and a car driven by Victor Prola, 63, of Blairsville, Indiana County, collided on Route 422 in Kittanning Township, Armstrong County.Prola, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for moderate injuries at ACMH HospitalHospital in Kittanning. Police cited Meredith for driving too fast for conditions.5:15 p.m. Friday — William Bump IV, 19, of Templeton faces a pair of traffic citations after a hit-and-run crash on Allegheny Avenue in Pine Township, Armstrong County. Police said Bump drove his car into a telephone cable cord and did not stop.
9:07 p.m. Sunday — Luke Hogue, 22, of New Castle was arrested for driving under the influence on Mt. Herman Church Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.
