The students at Emily Brittain Elementary School raised nearly $4,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by hopping.

Deborah Wellner, coordinator, said the students in kindergarten through fourth grade collected donations per hop and then jumped for two minutes April 2. When they were done, the students had raised $3,817.

The students participate each year in the program.
