Intermediate League plans PARC party
The Intermediate League of Butler will host its annual PARC Spring Party at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the PARCsheltered workshop, Washington and Jefferson streets.
ADAMS TWP — The Adams Ridge community will host its annual community garage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.The community is located off Route 228.

ZELIENOPLE — Afundraising event will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Zelienople American Legion to benefit Tedd Love, a self-employed contractor who fell 35 feet from a ladder, breaking his back in five places.The event will include a buffet dinner at 4 p.m. and a cash bar. MARS — Aquilt show will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Mars United Methodist Church, Pittsburgh Street.The Saturday event will also include a Pies, Posie and Peddler Market.Quilts entered for the contest must be taken to the church basement from 3 to 8 p.m. today.Admission to the weekend show is $3 or $2 for senior citizens. Aquilt will be given away as a door prize.
The Keystone Squares are now accepting reservations for their anniversary dance to be held from 6 to 10:30 p.m. May 5 at St. Michael's Hall, 432 Center Ave.The event will include a buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m., entertainment at 7:30 p.m. and dancing at 8 p.m. Asnack and chocolate buffet will begin at 9:15 p.m.The caller for the dance is Ed Pabst. NORTH WASHINGTON — The North Washington Volunteer Fire Department will host a high school rodeo Saturday and Sunday at the North Washington Rodeo grounds, Route 38.The rodeo will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday and a roast beef dinner will follow from 5 to 8 p.m.A brunch will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday, and rodeo activities will follow at 1 p.m.Admission is free and church groups, youth groups and scout troops are invited.

The Western Pennsylvania Mushroom Club will host its Morel Madness weekend Saturday and Sunday.Registration will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mingo Creek Park, Washington County. Participants should meet near the Henry House. The program will begin at noon Saturday, and morel hunting will be held Sunday morning.Camping will be available for $5 per site Saturday night. MUDDY CREEK TWP — Members of the Three Rivers Informal Geocaching Organization and the Butler County Treasure Hunters metal detectors group will meet at Moraine State Park Sunday to assist with finding the park boundaries.Teams will be sent to the edges of the park using their own GPSunits to find remainders of original park corner points. IRWIN TWP, Venango Co. — Skye's Spirit Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center will host its annual baby shower for wildlife from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the center, 889 Farron-Surrena Road.The event will include displays of live animals and information about the center's efforts. Craft projects will be available for children.Those who take a gift for the wildlife will be entered to win prizes donated by local businesses.
