Concordia Lutheran Ministries Haven I resident Dorothy Blankenbuehler, formerly of Pittsburgh, celebrated her 85th birthday recently with a family gathering.

The former Dorothy Aune was born April 16, 1922, in Crookston, Minn. She married the Rev. Lorenz Blankenbuehler on June 3, 1946.

She has three children, Connie Mavroudis of Richmond, Va.; June Bodnar of Allison Park; and Marla Michaels of Portland, Mass. She also has three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.

Mrs. Blankenbuehler is a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot and participates in the Pittsburgh Lutheran Chorus, the Concordia Chorale, and the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Her hobbies include walking, crossword puzzles, and reading.
