The Butler Eagle is seeking mothers and daughters who look or act alike for a special Mother's Day story.

The Red Bonnets and Bifocals chapter of the Red Hat Society will host a bus trip to the Amish country of Ohio on June 16.The trip will include stops at Wagon Trails Animal Park, Holtz House Furniture and Quilt Shop, an Amish school house, Ridgeview Farm; Original Cheese Co-op Factory; an Amish general store and an Amish wedding dinner.Participants will receive a food item at each stop.Cost is $77 per person and reservations are due May 15. LYNDORA — Crafters are being sought for a spring craft show to be held May 5 at Ukrainian Hall.The show will be hosted by SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church. For details, call 724-789-7751.

RENFREW — The Butler County Humane Society will host a Fur Ball fundraiser from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday at the Butler Country Club, 310 Country Club Road, Penn Township.The event will include a happy hour, seated dinner, entertainment, silent auction, music and dancing.Tickets are $100 per person and must be purchased in advance at the shelter.The event is formal and black tie optional.

ZELIENOPLE — Afundraising dinner themed "A Night on Broadway,"will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at The Kaufman House, South Main Street.The evening will include a five-course meal and a Chinese auction.Tickets are $50 per person and proceeds benefit the Strand Theater Initiative. The Butler Teachers' Association will host a Teachers' Share and Care rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 28 at the Butler Senior High School cafeteria.Proceeds from the sale will benefit the United Way of Butler County Community Impact Fund.
