Richard 'Dick' Rodgers

Richard "Dick" Rodgers, 77, of West Penn Street died at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at his home.

Born Feb. 19, 1930, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Donald James Rodgers Sr. and Maude Parker.

Mr. Rodgers retired as a sales manager at Montgomery Ward in 1984.

He was a member of St. Andrew's United Presbyterian Church.

He was an Army veteran and belonged to the Masonic Lodge 272 F&AM. He enjoyed his family, fishing and traveling.

Surviving are his wife, Helen Pauline Stevenson Rodgers, whom he married Aug. 29, 1959; two sons, John Rodgers of Chandler, Ariz., and Dennis Rodgers of Butler; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Two brothers, Wayne Rodgers of Fort Myers, Fla., and Jack Myers of Eustis, Fla.; two nieces, and three nephews also survive

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

<B>RODGERS</B> — Friends of Richard "Dick" Rodgers, who died Wednesday, March 14, 2007, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St.Services will follow at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev.
