Gallagher 60th anniversary

John and Evelyn Gallagher

John and Evelyn Gallagher of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with a dinner at the Villa restaurant in Cadogan. They will take an Alaskan cruise in May.

Gallagher married the former Evelyn Taylor April 4, 1947, at Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Butler.

They have three children, Richard Gallagher and Thomas Gallagher, both of Butler, and Joy Dubois of Houston, Pa.

They also have eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Gallagher is retired from the USX sintering plant in Saxonburg and from Butler Auto Auction. Aveteran of the Navy, he belongs to Masonic Lodge 272 and American Legion Post 117.

Mrs. Gallagher works part-time at Butler Auto Auction and Bobbie's Beauty Shop. She belongs to the Order of the Eastern Star Maqueda Chapter 421, of which she is a past matron.

The couple belongs to Summit Presbyterian Church.
