Roger R. Soisson
Roger Randolph Soisson, 87, formerly of Hampton Court, died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday in Passavant Hospital.
Born Sept. 11, 1919, in Connellsville, he was the son of A. D. and Mary MariettaSoisson.
He was an associate business professor at Butler County Community College, having retired in December 1985, and he also was a home contractor in Butler County.
He was a member of OakHillsChristian Church and was a past president of NAA and the MORAClub. He had been active in Meals on Wheels and Christian Men Fellowship.
Mr. Soisson was an alumni of Washington and Jefferson College with a bachelor of science degree in business.
He was a veteran of the Navy, having served in the Atlantic and South Pacific during World War II. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, reading, and playing bridge.
He is survived by his wife DorothyTripp Soisson, whom he married March 16, 1945.
Also surviving are four daughters, Jean Seitzer of Northumberland, and Joyce Stanley, Rebecca Friedrich and Mari Abbott, all off Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandchild, a sister and three brothers.
