Nichole and Scott McKinney

Nichole Rapone and Scott McKinney, both of Irvine, Calif., were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Sept. 30 at The Enchanted Garden in Palm Springs Calif. Spencer Irwin, a friend of the bride and groom, officiated the ceremony. A reception was held at a custom Alexander modern mid-century home in the Movie Colony of Palm Springs.

The bride is the daughter of Jeanette Johnston of Pittsburgh. Parents of the bridegroom are George and Fran McKinney of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

The maid of honor was the bride's sister Amelia Johnston of Pittsburgh. The bridesmaid was the groom's sister Maureen McKinney of Bowling Green, Ohio.

Serving his brother as best man was Jeff McKinney of Brooklyn, N.Y. The groomsman was the groom's brother Michael McKinney of Fort Lauderdale. The ring bearers were the bride's brother Stewart Rapone and the couple's dogs Murphy and Conan.

The bride is a 1994 graduate of Butler High School and a 1999 graduate of Indiana (Pa.) University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree. She is employed at Boost Mobile in Irvine.

The groom graduated in 1992 from Red Bank Catholic High School and in 1997 from Villa Nova University, where he earned a bachelor's degree. He is currently pursuing a master's degree at Pepperdine University and is employed at CareerBuilder in Irvine.

The couple is making their home in Irvine.
