3:15 a.m. March 31 — Jeffrey Luechtefeld, 32, of Saxonburg was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on West Water Street.11:30 p.m. March 30 — Charles Gamble, 65, of Saxonburg was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Butler Road.4 a.m. March 18 — Tiffany Doutt, 22, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, careless driving and other traffic violations following a traffic stop on Butler Road.
2:02 a.m. Tuesday — A pair of Zelienople boys lost control of their speeding vehicles and crashed into guardrails at Campground Road and Route 58 in Marion Township.Police did not identify the drivers, a 16-year-old and a 15-year-old. The older boy, wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Grove City Medical Center. A16-year-old girl, riding without a seat belt in the younger boy's vehicle, was treated for minor injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital.Police noted that both drivers, due to their age, were not permitted to be driving at the time of the crash. While the investigation continues, police said both drivers are facing numerous traffic citations.Tuesday — An unknown amount of currency was stolen between 4:10 p.m. Monday and 6:25 a.m. Tuesday in a burglary at St. Wendelin School on St. Wendelin Road in Summit Township.Tuesday — Police are investigating a break-in at a Knoch Road home in Clinton Township. Stolen was copper piping and wiring, a cast iron bathtub and other items. Investigators do not known when the burglary occurred.6:56 a.m. Monday — A mini-van driven by Jennifer Gannon, no age given, of Harrisville skidded on black ice and crashed into an embankment on Branchton Road in Cherry Township. Gannon, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Monday — A television, watch and several DVDs were stolen between 8:15 a.m. and 7:45 p.m. in a burglary at a Winters Road home in Penn Township.
Tuesday — A purple, 1998 Chrysler Concorde, with an unknown driver, went down an embankment and struck several trees along Brent Road near Jervis Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County. Police said the driver left the scene, leaving behind the badly damaged car. The crash occurred between 10 p.m. Monday and 3:54 p.m. Tuesday.
