Pflugh, Barnes
Amanda Pflugh and Andrew Barnes were united in marriage Sept. 30 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Harry Bielewicz of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and the Rev. David Biser of Colonial Park United Methodist Church in Harrisburg. A reception followed at the Soldiers and Sailors Museum in Pittsburgh.
The bride is the daughter of Chris and Loretta Pflugh of Saxonburg. Parents of the bridegroom are Dr. Scott Barnes of Harrisburg and the late Patricia Barnes.
The matron of honor was Athena Pacek of Pittsburgh. Bridesmaids included Mary Pflugh of Erie; Jayme Steighner of Butler; Laura Good of York; Gwynne Roberts of Herndon, Va.; Lorraine Long of Delaware, Ohio; and Rose Bell of Harrisburg.
Performing the duties of best man was the groom's brother Chris Barnes of Albuquerque, N.M. Groomsmen included the bride's brother Nicholas Pflugh of Erie; Brian Rodabaugh of Lancaster; Kevin Tamanini of Athens, Ohio; and James Miller, Joshua Hocker and Craig Bixler, all of Harrisburg.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2001 graduate of Grove City College. She works as a management consultant for Pennsylvania's Office of Administration in Harrisburg.
The bridegroom graduated in 1998 from Central Dauphin High School, in 2002 from West Virginia University and in 2004 from Arizona State University, where he earned a master's degree. He works as a victim assistance coordinator for Pennsylvania's Office of the Victim Advocate in Harrisburg.
Following a honeymoon trip to Ireland, the couple is making their home in Harrisburg.
