1:28 p.m. Friday — Someone broke the taillights of a Buick owned by Charles Heath of Butler on West Diamond Street.4:36 p.m. March 20 — An unknown vehicle struck a parked car owned by Kendra Browne of Butler on South Cliff Street.

4:50 p.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by Edmond Wozniak, 64, of Sarver struck the rear of an SUV driven by Dale Harkness, 82, of Butler on Route 8 in Center Township. Harkness was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor chest pains. Wozniak was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Wozniak was cited for not driving at a safe speed.8 a.m. March 22 — Someone stole a cell phone owned by Joshua McCracken, 18, from Slippery Rock High School. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-284-8100.

3:43 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Glenshaw male struck the rear of a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Pittsburgh male on Route 28 in South Buffalo Township. The Glenshaw teen was taken by Freeport Ambulance to an unidentified hospital for treatment of a foot injury. Both vehicles' occupants were wearing seat belts. Buffalo Township police assisted at the scene.

Friday — Someone stole a Titan double-tank compressor, welding equipment, an 18-inch Stihl chainsaw and a Milwaukee Sawzall, worth a total of $2,300, from the Star Mining Corp. site on Perryville Road in Perry Township between 5 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.Friday — Someone stole two prescriptions leaving the bottles from Raymond Botzer's Rimersburg residence at 10055 Route 68 between Wednesday and Friday. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 814-226-1710.

3:08 a.m. March 19 — George Banovski III, 28, of 204 Meadow Brook Lane, Butler, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license after police were investigating a vehicle parked at the end of a driveway on Ridge Road.6:40 p.m. March 16 — Icy roads were a contributing factor of a three-vehicle accident along Lindsay Road that sent three people to hospitals. Matthew Whitling, 31, of 593 Whitestown Road, Butler, was traveling on Lindsay Road when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle driven by Michael Riemeyer, 44, of 158 Eagle Mill Road, Butler, near 461 Lindsay Road. A third vehicle driven by Stephen Schoenig, 33, of 205 Tyler Dr., Cranberry Township, hit the rear of Riemeyer's vehicle. Whitling and two passengers in Riemeyer's vehicle, Mary and Jackie Riemeyer, were taken to Allegheny General Hospital and UPMC Passavant Cranberry for treatment for their injuries by Harmony EMS. Whitling was cited by police for failing to drive at safe speeds.12:09 a.m. March 11 — A vehicle driven by Brian Grystar, 31, of 220 Beechwood Blvd., Butler, crashed into the rear end of a vehicle driven by Kimberly Huffman, 46, of 106 Oak Dr., Evans City, who had stopped on the road near 105 Lindsay Road. She told police she stopped because deer had run across the road. No injuries were reported.
