10:05 p.m. Monday — Matthew Caney, 42, no known address, was arrested on drug-related and other charges after he was found allegedly drunk on West Cunningham Street.Police said Caney initially gave a bogus name and birthdate when asked by an officer for identification. The officer learned Caney's real identity when they checked his wallet.Asearch of him found an unmarked pill bottle containing three kinds of prescription drugs, including a muscle relaxant and anti-psychotic.Caney is charged with possession of a controlled substance, false identification to law enforcement officials and public drunkenness.
4:19 a.m. today — Harold Ellenberger, 73, of Chicora was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Hazelnut Road near Slippery Rock Road in Fairview Township.Monday — An undisclosed amount of money as well as jewelry and a Cobra 26 CBradio were taken between 6:40 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. in a burglary at the Route 19 home of Jackie Kimmel and William Kerry in Muddy Creek Township.Monday — Jeffrey Young of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, said a JVCstereo/compact disc player was taken from his vehicle at the Adams Manufacturing Corp. parking lot on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. The theft occurred between 6:25 a.m. and 7:15 p.m.7:15 p.m. Sunday — George Honeycutt, no age given, of Butler allegedly threw a rock through a window at Etzel's Masonry in Summit Township. Damage was estimated at $400. Police cited Honeycutt for criminal mischief.
3:32 a.m. March 18 — Jeremy W. Dunn, 27, of New Brighton, Beaver County, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol following a traffic stop on Route 68 near Timberbrook Drive.
