PA CareerLink Butler County
PA CareerLink Butler County will host its fourth annual "Spring into Success" job and career fair at the Butler Days Inn on Thursday, April 5 from 1 to 6 p.m. There is no charge to job seekers and a nominal investment for employers recruiting at the event.
Banks, manufacturers, health care providers, restaurant and retail establishments, staffing agencies, trucking companies, state Police, the State Civil Service Commission and staffing agencies will be there to talk with you and accept your resume. In addition to over 50 such vendors, a variety of schools, colleges and some agencies will be there to answer your questions and help meet your needs.
Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) is helping to sponsor this event, and a representative will be there to answer questions about financial assistance and student loans.
This job fair is one of the many initiatives hosted annually by the PA CareerLink Butler County, a one-stop, nonprofit group of community partners providing personalized employment, training, career and support services.
Located in Pullman Commerce Center at 112 Hollywood Drive in Pullman Square, Butler, it is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and close at 2 p.m. on Thursday. You don't need an appointment, and all services are provided without charge.
PA CareerLink Butler County is helping to lead workforce planning in the county to insure the staffing and training needs of our businesses are met. And it helps to better prepare high school and college students for realistic job and training choices.
For example, maybe you will be graduating this spring. Have you done your homework on your training or job plans? Did you investigate the area where you eventually want to live and work. Did you investigate what jobs are in demand and their entry pay scales?
PA CareerLink can help you by providing the information you need to help you choose wisely. In the Butler-Armstrong-Indiana area, there is a huge demand for skilled machinists, truck drivers, registered nurses, general and operations managers, office clerks, and sales representatives to name a few.
