Butler County's great daily newspaper

Butler Floor & Carpet Co.

Things certainly have changed since Butler Floor was purchase by Loyd Croft in 1949, starting with the phone number in 1949 that was 74016.

Originally on 231 W. Wayne St., we are now about 1 mile north of the Clearview Mall, next to the Butler Veterinary Clinic.

Some of the biggest changes that have been seen over the years are the flooring choices being made by our customers. In 1949 Butler Floor only sold hard surface flooring, linoleum sheet flooring and 10 colors of asphalt tile. Now the options seem endless.

With luxurious plush carpets, quiet durable laminates, warm hardwoods, elegant natural stone and ceramic tile you can customize your home to reflect your unique tastes.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by a project, don't hesitate to stop in or give us a call. Butler Floor and Carpet Co.'s professional staff and designers will be able to help you chose just the flooring or tile to suit your style perfectly.

Everyday the flooring industry is changing to meet the demands of our customers. At Butler Floor and Carpet Co., we make it our priority to have the latest most up to date flooring on the market.

This year we have added many new innovative product lines. Konecto flooring, Marmoleum Click by Forbo, and a brand new Kathy Ireland Shades of America collection from Shaw Flooring.

Konecto is the newest generation of high-quality resilient wood-look flooring at an affordable price. It is described as the easy-installing, 100 percent waterproof, floating and glueless locking-plank flooring system. Pieces can be cut to fit with a utility knife and can be installed over any substrate, no glue or tongue and grove to fight with.

Linoleum has been around for decades. This environmentally friendly flooring is made with all natural materials and will not allow microorganisms to prosper.

Marmoleum is mounted to a HD fiberboard and installs with the ease of a laminate. There is a cork layer on the back making underlayment unnecessary. Click comes in 2 sizes and 18 different colors. The design possibilities are endless!

Finally, the Kathy Ireland Shades of America carpet collection features four carpet styles in an array of 90 colors. Shades of America offers a single, convenient presentation that takes the fear out of choosing carpet.

Kathy Ireland has worked with Shaw to develop Shades of America so that it's so simple, you can't make a mistake. Kathy Ireland's Shades of America is sold exclusively through Shaw Flooring Alliance dealers.
