Jean Elizabeth "Liz" Smith, 68, of Lawsonham Road, Rimersburg, died at 1:40 p.m. Sunday at the Clarion Hospital after a five-month illness.

Born June 28, 1938, in Kittanning, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Charlotte Dubrock Myers.

She was a member of the Church of God in Worthington.

Mrs. Smith graduated in 1956 from New Kensington High School and was employed by Moonlight Mushrooms in Worthington as a picker for a number of years.

She enjoyed bingo, outdoor flowers and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her husband, Omer R. Smith, whom she married March 21, 1957, in Bradys Bend; a son and his wife, Joseph R. and Linda Smith of Rimersburg; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three brothers, Brian "Dink" Maloney of Sigel, Wallace Maloney of New Kensington and Joseph Maloney of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sisters, Charmaine Maloney of New Kensington and Thelma Crawford of Kittanning; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

<B>SMITH </B>— Friends of Jean Elizabeth "Liz" Smith, who died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B>, Rimersburg. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Phillips, pastor of the First Church of God of New Bethlehem, officiating. Burial will follow at Lawn Haven Memorial Park, Worthington.
