8:51 p.m. Monday — JoAnn Worth, 46, of Butler told police she swerved her van to avoid another vehicle traveling on West Pearl Street, and struck a parked car. Police cited Worth for driving an unregistered vehicle.6:11 p.m. Monday — Brannon Irvin, 19, of Butler was arrested for allegedly punching his girlfriend, Latasha Hutchinson, 18, of Center Township, while in a car on Virginia Avenue. Irvin was arraigned on a charge of simple assault, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of a $5,000 bond.3:09 a.m. Sunday — David Birckbichler, 28, of Center Township was arrested for driving under the influence after a hit-and-run crash on Pittsburgh Road.Police said Birckbichler lost control of his car after turning onto Pittsburgh Road from Roosevelt Boulevard, and slammed into a guardrail. Witnesses told officers that the defendant was "bleeding heavily" from the face but refused help.Instead, according to a police report, Birckbichler drove away. Police later arrested the suspect, whose blood-alcohol level was found to be 0.163 percent, or twice the legal limit for alcohol in the state. Authorities noted he has two prior DUIconvictions.In addition to his latest arrest for DUI stemming from the crash Monday, Birckbichler is charged with accidents involving damage to unattended property, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.The defendant was placed in the Butler County Prison after police learned he was wanted on a bench warrant.11:13 a.m. Friday—A sport utility vehicle driven by Ann Curillo, 42, of Butler skidded off snow-covered Morton Avenue and hit a utility pole at the Lyon Avenue intersection.
2:32 a.m. Sunday — Shelly Ballew, 45, of Prospect was arrested for driving under the influence on Evans City Road.12:55 a.m. Saturday — Jennifer Lynne Graham, 21, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 422 at the Route 8 North exit.
Monday — Police reported that Danielle Nadolny told investigators someone stole a debit card from her Slippery Rock Township apartment, and used the card to make purchases at numerous stores. The theft occurred March 5 or 6.12:55 a.m. Sunday — Dennis Book, 21, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Sunset Drive and Mahood Road in Center Township.Sunday — Seven maple kitchen cabinets valued at a combined $540 were among the property, owned by Beth Nard of Beaver Falls, Beaver County, taken between Wednesday and Sunday in a burglary at a Frank Avenue home in Winfield Township.Also stolen in the break-in were Ryobi brand power tools, valued at $480, including a hammer, drill, jigsaw, sander and circular saw.7:25 p.m. Friday — Acar driven by Rachel Ortiz, 31, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Ortiz was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
6 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Joseph Corbin, 54, of Grove City skidded on an ice patch and struck a utility pole along Route 208 in Pine Township, Mercer County. Corbin, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Grove City Medical Center.
