Sara G. Banks
Sara G. Banks, 83, of Karns City died at 8 p.m. Saturday at her home.
Born March 4, 1923, in Fairmount City, Clarion County, she was the daughter of Oliver Thomas and Estella Roxanna Berg Elder.
A member of the Concord Presbyterian Church, she also had been a first lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps, having served in World War II.
She was a graduate of the Butler County Hospital School of Nursing and New York University. She was a nurse at the VA Medical Center in Butler for 29 years. She was a member of the Butler Memorial Nursing Alumni.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas Banks of New Wilmington and Jeffrey Banks of Karns City; six grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Banks, who died Jan. 10, 2004, and one brother.

Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Friends also will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Concord Presbyterian Church with funeral services following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Robert V. Mathias, her pastor, will officiate.Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery.
