Monday — Brian Matthew Pastoria, 24, of Freeport was arrested for allegedly burglarizing a city home last May and taking a .357-caliber revolver, stun gun, holster, carry belt and other accessories.The defendant, hired by the homeowner for a sidewalk repair project, is accused of breaking into the house when the victim was away.City police charged Pastoria following an investigation that began after Cranberry Township police on Jan. 5 arrested the defendant in connection with three burglaries there.Pastoria in the Butler case is charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, convicts not to possess firearms, and carrying a gun without a permit. He was arraigned on charges and placed in the Butler County Prison on $50,000 bond.

12:38 a.m. today — Nicholas Fennick, 22, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 near Brownsdale Road in MiddlesexTownship.9:50 p.m. Monday — Frank Marzullo, 35, of Butler is accused of violating a court-issued protection from abuse order at the Brandon Road home of 32-year-old Lisa Marzullo in CenterTownship. The defendant was arraigned for violation of the PFA, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.4:05 p.m. Monday — Lana Tiche, 56, of Boyers was cited for driving too fast for conditions after her minivan crashed into an embankment on Route 308 in Marion Township.Police said the crash occurred when Tiche lost control of her vehicle while attempting to stop for a school bus stopped with its lights on. The van rolled onto its side. Tiche, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Grove City Medical Center.3:18 p.m. Monday — Acar driven by Richard Moore, no age given, of Karns City struck a utility pole on Route 268 in Karns City.Monday — An undisclosed amount of scrap metal that included radiators, brass round stock and copper tubing was stolen between Thursday and Monday from Stanzione Scrap Iron and Metal on Brewer Road in Clinton Township.7:40 p.m. Sunday — Robert Becker, 40, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI and speeding on Sunset Drive in Center Township.

1:50 p.m. Saturday — The owner of McFarland Guitar and Piano on Main Street in Harmony reported someone smashed the store's no parking signs and damaged the side gate and cellar doors.1:22 a.m. Wednesday — A bartender at Savannah's West Street Grille at 642 W. New Castle St. reported a vehicle hit the building causing damage to the vinyl siding.
