Darlene Dunn Beahm
Darlene Dunn Beahm, 70, of Mount Chestnut died Saturday in the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 8, 1936, in Butler County, she was the daughter of Clifford D. and Martha Hepler Bowser.
She had been an administrative assistant for numerous businesses in the Butler area.
Mrs. Beahm was Protestant and was known as a Prayer Warrior because she believed in prayer for nurturing others at their time of need. She also hosted many Bible study groups throughout her lifetime.
She was a farm girl at heart and enjoyed living on her family farm. She also loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing cards.
She was well known for opening her doors to others and nurturing those who needed someone.
Surviving are her husband, Clifford E. Beahm, whom she married Oct. 27, 1974; five sons, David Beahm of Butler, Dr. Harold Dunn of Mount Chestnut, Perry Dunn of York, S.C., Brian Dunn of Longmont, Colo., and Duane Dunn of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, Beth Bodine of Mount Chestnut and Lori Bish of DuBois; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Lois Young of Butler, Shirley Nulph of Evans City, Edith Johnson of Renfrew and Phyllis Bonzo of Mount Chestnut; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold M. Dunn Jr., who died Sept. 20, 1969; a brother; and two infant sisters.
