James R. Crawford, 63, of Butler died at 7 a.m. Thursday at his home.

Born Dec. 29, 1943, in Ford City, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Louise Cujas Crawford.

He was a Catholic.

Mr. Crawford enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling, and had owned and operated Crawford Tours in Gibsonia.

Surviving are his wife, Lolita "Lee" Durso Crawford; a daughter, Mrs. David (Heather) Bjork of North Carolina; a son, Shawn Crawford of Indianapolis; and four grandchildren.

He also is survived by three sisters, Shirley Olinger of Evans City and Connie Spencer and Mrs. Chris (Darlene) Scopel, both of Ford City; two brothers, William Crawford of Evans City and Fred Crawford of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Scott, and a sister.

<B>CRAWFORD </B>— Friends of James R. Crawford, who died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
