Joseph C. Wick
Joseph C. Wick, 81, of Butler died at 1 a.m. Wednesday at his home.
Born in Butler, July 22, 1925, he was the son of Alfred and Maude Wick.
He retired as a dispatcher for the Butler Township Police Department in 1987 after 19 years. He formerly worked at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center for 21 years.
Mr. Wick was a World War II Army veteran.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Surviving are four sons, Thomas V., Richard L. and Joseph W. Wick, all of Butler, and David B. Wick of Karns City; his longtime friend and companion of 16 years, Eva Pflugh of Saxonburg; a sister, Mrs. Katherine LeFevre of Butler; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
His wife of 40 years, Catherine L. Codispot Wick, died Nov. 14, 1986. He also was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Wick; a sister, Mary Tirk; and two brothers, Alfred and Robert Wick.

Wick, who died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Martin Funeral Home</B>, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue. Burial will be at the St. Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael Parish will hold a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.Information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
