Debra J. Carlson, 55, a resident of Charles Street in Kennerdell since 1987, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday at Gold Living Nursing Home, Meadville, after a long illness.

Born Feb 2, 1952, in Somerset, she was the daughter of Virl J. Kooser and Jean Keifer.

She had attended the Somerset public schools, and she worked in the cooking department at Specialized Treatment Services in Bullion, Venango County, for several years.

Mrs. Carlson was a member of Kennerdell Church of God.

She enjoyed the outdoors and working in her floral gardens.

Surviving are her husband, James Carlson, whom she married Oct. 1, 1991, in Franklin; two children, Jody Renslow of Virginia Beach, Va., and Scott O'Brien of Middle Ridge, Ohio; three stepchildren, Brent J. Carlson of Kennerdell, Bruce Carlson of Karns City and Lori Lynn Carlson of Butler; a sister, Diane Gold of Warren, Ohio; and a brother, John Kooser of Sharpsville.

She also is survived by three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

<B>CARLSON </B>— Friends of Debra J. Carlson, who died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at <B>Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home</B>, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville.Services will follow at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bobbie Nelson, pastor of the Kennerdell Church of God, officiating.Burial will follow at the Eau Claire Cemetery.
