Marie E. Posey, 80, of East Brady, formerly of R.D. 1, Chicora, died Monday at Sunnyview Home following an extended illness.

She had worked as a nurse's aide at Chicora Medical Center for 15 years, where she also was a dietician for five years.

She was a graduate of Karns City High School. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bradys Bend.

She is survived by a son, Francis E. Posey of R.D. 1, Chicora; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Loretta) Hiles of Sun City, Ariz., Mrs. Robert Dean (Dorothy) Ekas of Chicora, Mrs. Michael (Catherine) Greco of Prescott, Ariz., Mrs. Lee (Patty) McGinnis of Chicora; Bernadette Hartwell of Manahton, Pa., and Mrs. Lee (Dona) Weyand of Rochester; and two brothers, Alfred Young of NumMine, Pa., and Francis Young of Catewissio, Pa.

She was preceded in death by a son and six brothers.

<B>POSEY</B>— Friends of Marie E. Posey, who died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at <B>Steighner Funeral Home</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend with the Rev. Anthony Ditto officiating.Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bradys Bend.
