Crawford David Bullman, 79, of Butler, formerly of Petrolia and Parker Township, died at 7:22 p.m. Sunday at the Sunnyview Home after an illness.

Born in Petrolia, May 1, 1927, he was the only son of Don B. and Margaret N. Campbell Bullman.

He as a member of the Fairview United Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Bullman had graduated from Karns City High School in 1945 and served with the Navy Seabees during World War II. He received the Pacific Theater Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon and the Victory medal.

He was a member of the Argyle Lodge 540 F&AM of Chicora, the Consistory Valley of New Castle, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon of Kittanning and the Syria Shrine of Pittsburgh.

He retired from the Koppers Chemical Co. in Petrolia after 25 years as a welder and 20 years as maintenance foreman.

His wife, Eleanor R. McMillen Bullman, whom he married Sept. 5, 1948, at the Mt. Pleasant English Lutheran Church near Chicora, died Feb. 28, 2000.

Surviving are two sons, C. David Bullman of Slippery Rock and Don B. Bullman II of Butler; a daughter, Mrs. Eric B. (Candace D.) Maharg of Butler; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

A sister, Mrs. Pauline A. Thompson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

<B>Bullman </B>— Friends of Crawford David Bullman, who died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B>, 102 Argyle St., Petrolia.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy Dietrich, pastor of the Freeport Road Alliance Church, officiating.Burial will follow at the Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.Members of the Argyle Lodge 540 F&AM of Chicora will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
