Dorothy Foertsch
Dorothy L. Foertsch, 88, of Butler, died peacefully on Thursday at Alle-Kiski Medical Center.
Born June 10, 1918, in Wilk-insburg, Allegheny County, she was the daughter of Ernest Vernon and Mary Dillie Findley.
She and her husband, Wilbert, farmed in the Saxonburg-Butler area. She was an avid reader, played piano, loved animals, and enjoyed having a full house.
Surviving are her children, Leona V. Wills of Mars; Marilyn J. (Carl) Shuler of Fenelton; Vernon C. (Carol) Foertsch of Saxonburg; Harold W. Foertsch, Errol E. Foertsch, Carol C. Nelson, Mary Alice (George) Shuler, Dorothy R. Foertsch, and Karen O. Foertsch, all of Butler, Wilbert J. Foertsch Jr. of Hurricane, W.Va., Garry L. (Barb) Foertsch of Cabot, 23 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband Wilbert J. Foertsch Sr., who died Feb. 22, 1988, and an infant daughter.
<B>Foertsch</B> — Friends of Dorothy L. Foertsch, who died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, will be received at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.Services will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Roger G.
