Stephen Tretinik
Stephen Tretinik, 91, of Prospect, formerly of Ralph in Fayette County, died Saturday at his home.
Born June 10, 1915, in Smock, Fayette County, he was a son of George and Bertha Onifer Tretinik.
He was a member of St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Prospect.
Mr. Tretinik was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Masontown American Legion Post 423.
He had worked at the U.S. Steel Robena Mine.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Tretinik; a son, Steven Tretinik and his wife, Delilah, of Alpena, Mich.; four daughters, Elaine Boyd and her husband, James, of Uniontown, Janet Sirilla and her husband, Paul, of Dublin, Ohio, Maryann Tretinik of Monroeville and Renee Kline and her husband, Timothy, of Butler; 14 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
<B>TRETINIK </B>— Friends of Stephen Tretinik, who died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Robert T. Kish Funeral Home</B>, 20 N. Mill St., New Salem.Visitation also will be held until 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, when a prayer service will be held.A funeral Mass will follow at noon Tuesday at St. Procopius Church, New Salem, with the Rev. James Popochock as celebrant.Burial will be at the Lafayette Memorial Park where military rites will be accorded by Masontown VFW Post 4584.A parish wake service will be held at 3:15 p.m. today at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Christopher at the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Prospect, PA 16052; or to the Hospice of the VNA, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.
