Monday — An unknown vehicle struck a parked car on Eau Clair Street between Saturday night and early Monday morning. The car is owned by Donna McKissick of Butler.5:50 p.m. Saturday — An unknown vehicle struck a parked pickup truck owned by Rodney Stutz of Butler in the St. Michael Church parking lot on Center Avenue.11:59 a.m. Friday — Matthew L. Summerville, 27, of Karns City was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and defiant trespass after allegedly stealing a pair of tennis shoes from the employee locker room at the Friedman's store on West Brady Street on Thursday. Summerville was arrested after store employee Joshua Timberlake, 18, said he saw his stolen shoes in Summerville's gym bag on Friday after running into him in the locker room two days in a row. Summerville does not work at the store. After a foot chase, Summerville was caught and detained until police arrived. He was jailed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.6:50 p.m. Wednesday — David E. Peterson, 47, of New Castle was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, restrictions on alcohol and not using required lighted lamps following a traffic stop on West North Street.7:50 p.m. Jan. 7 — A pickup truck driven by Larry L. Wolfe, 37, of Butler struck a parked car owned by Greg Gold of West Sunbury on West Penn Street before fleeing on foot. Police still are searching for Wolfe, who allegedly borrowed the truck from a friend.

8:33 p.m. Saturday — Lee W. Robinson, 20, of Sarver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.Saturday — Someone broke into Randy Crocker's residence on West Old Route 422 in Franklin Township between 7 and 11 p.m. No other details were reported.7:30 p.m. Saturday — A 14-year-old Butler boy and a 17-year-old Slippery Rock male were charged with theft of a motor vehicle after allegedly stealing Robert Hall's Yamaha SRV snowmobile from his Euclid Road property.7:20 a.m. Saturday — Matthew T. Maxwell, 24, of West Sunbury was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and public drunkenness along North Washington Road in Concord Township.4:13 a.m. Saturday — A tractor-trailer driven by Stanley Bunner, 45, of Indiana lost control on Route 108 in Worth Township and began to roll onto its passenger side, hitting a sign and a tree. The impact ripped off the roof, causing bottled water to spill onto the road. The driver was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.Saturday — Someone stole three rolls of copper wire from the inside of a van in the parking lot of Wagner Electric and Construction off Stanford Road in Portersville between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.8 p.m. Friday — Thomas Neal, 20, of Towanda, N.Y., was cited for possession and transportation of alcohol following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.7:30 p.m. Friday — Five teenage girls were charged with retail theft after allegedly trying to steal more than $500 worth of clothing from J.C. Penny's at the Clearview Mall in Center Township. The girls are two 14-year- olds and a 15-year-old from Chicora, a 13-year-old from East Brady and a 15-year-old from Bruin.6:50 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Ivan Henry, 22, of Pittsburgh and a vehicle driven by Ronald Fundy, 39, of Renfrew collided on Route 8 in Slippery Rock Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured. Henry was cited for not driving a vehicle at a safe speed.Thursday — Someone scratched the paint on Tammy Guthrie's car while it was parked in a driveway at 522 Keister Road in Slippery Rock Township between 1 p.m. Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. Thursday. Anyone with information about the incident should call police at 724-284-8100.Wednesday — An unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Mariann Facemire of Connoquenessing Township at the East Butler Fire Hall between 7 and 8:30 p.m.9:10 p.m. Tuesday — A car driven by Toyia Gaver, 25, of West Sunbury and a vehicle driven by Kristin Treadway, 18, of Butler collided on Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and received minor injuries.

9 p.m. Friday — Scott Haslett, 43, of Kittanning was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 3017 in North Buffalo Township.

8:35 a.m. Saturday — A vehicle driven by Joshua Vasbinder, 17, of Rimersburg and a pickup truck driven by Jack Hetrick, 54, of Rimersburg collided on Callensburg Road in Toby Township. Kirk Nichols, 17, a passenger in Vasbinder's vehicle, received minor injuries. No one else was injured. All of the drivers and passengers were wearing seat belts.Saturday — Kevin Miller, 45, of Parker was charged with simple assault after allegedly assaulting Tonia Parsons, 31, of Parker at a Lime Plant Road location in Perry Township between 6:15 and 7 p.m. Miller was jailed in Clarion County Prison on $5,000 bond.1:20 a.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Unkas Lakic, 29, of Barbertown, Ohio, lost control on a snow-covered Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County, and wrecked. Lakic was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. He was cited for not driving a vehicle at a safe speed.

2:30 a.m. Saturday — A vehicle driven by Matthew Ohlsson, 25, of Zelienople struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Plain Grove Township. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.Saturday — Someone broke into the Johnson Sisters Cafe on Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township and stole $75 from a cash register between 9 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday. Anyone with information about the theft should call police at 724-598-2211.
