Anna M. McGallis, 79, of Butler died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Sunnyview Home.

Born March 10, 1927, in Ganister, Blair County, she was the daughter of George and Annie Kramer Sokol.

She was a Catholic.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Asher of Idaho; four sons, Bernard McGallis of Erie, Kenneth McGallis of Slippery Rock, Ronald McGallis of Chicora and James McGallis of Butler; 13 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Abrother, John Sokol of Paris, Tenn., also survives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph McGallis, who died in 1962; two sons, and a sister.
