Zack Dunkle scored the game-winning goal — the first goal of his career — as Butler's freshman hockey team defeated Deer Lakes, 7-5, recently.

The Golden Tornado trailed 4-2 late in the second period when Cody Blum scored twice in 12 seconds to tie the game. Dunkle's goal was a deflection on a shot from the point by Levi Rodgers.

Dominic Oliver scored twice for Butler, with Derek Ritenour and Jake Tomasovic adding goals.

Jerimiah Elsass was the winning goaltender.
