Christ Community U.M.Members of the Youth Group of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will participate in the 30-Hour Famine beginning at 7 a.m. Friday. Participants will meet at 5 p.m. Friday at the church. On Saturday morning, the youth will work at the World Vision Warehouse. The congregation is asked to support the youth in this project with monetary pledges and donations.A new adult Sunday School class, "Parables and Passions: Jesus' Stories for Days of Lent," will begin at 9:45 a.m. Sunday. The class is part of the I Live Big curriculum and will meet for six weeks.A class focusing on "Responding to God," an Upper Room publication about prayer, will be led by the Rev. Lisa Grant. The class will meet from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Tuesday or 10:15 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday beginning this week.
