Gas prices might seem high now, but it beats sitting in line for hours just to fill up the tank. That's what these motorists had to do on Feb. 6, 1974, at the Boron service station on Sixth Avenue in the city. This lineup was caused by a trucker shutdown that halted gasoline deliveries. The average price of gas at the time was 55 cents a gallon.
