On Jan. 20, 65 people attended a Campus of Courses class at Boscov's department store dealing with organically farmed food.

A film "My Father's Garden" (www.mirandaproductions.com) was shown, and local organic farmers Lori Sands, Ben Shaevitz and Ron Gargasz spoke.

As coordinator for the event, I was very touched to see and be involved with so many interested and enthusiastic individuals. I have never experienced such a coming-together of efforts and goodwill in such a short amount of time.

To me, it signaled the importance of the message of organic farming and people's willingness to support it.
