John M. Posey
John M. Posey, 76, of Bradys Bend died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born June 14, 1930, in Cowansville, he was the son of George J. and Mary Evelyn Rupp Posey.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
Mr. Posey served with Army Headquarters, 25th Constable Squadron, during World War II and received the World War II Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 488 of Bradys Bend and the Rimersburg VFW Post 7131.
He had worked at Pullman Standard for three years and at Rex-Hide in East Brady for 28 years.
Surviving are a son, John Michael Posey and his wife, Marlene, of Butler; two daughters, Karen Darlene Moore of Butler and Tracy Annette Jack and her husband, Jody, of Bradys Bend; 11 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
A son, Thomas Eugene Posey; a brother, Steve E. Posey, and a sister, Anne Jane Rankin preceded him in death.
<B>POSEY</B> — Friends of John M. Posey, who died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady.The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Russell, pastor of the United Methodist Church of East Brady, officiating.Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County.'American Legion Post 488 will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and will conduct military honors Sunday at the cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Suite 200, 777 Penn Center Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
