Ralph and Loretta Groves

Ralph and Loretta Groves of Zelienople celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a Caribbean cruise with their daughter and her fiancé, given as a gift from their children.

A family dinner has been planned for a later date.

The former Loretta Nickita married Groves Dec. 31, 1956, in Evans City.

They have two children, Ralph Groves of Wilmington, Del., and Lorraine Ehrhart of Miami.

Groves retired from Halstead Industries after 30 years. A former baseball player, he played in the minor leagues for six years and participated in spring training with the major league teams in 1955, '56 and '57. Later, he served as a pitcher in the Eagle County baseball league. He also served in the Army for three years.

Mrs. Groves is a homemaker.
