Ben Liebling had 18 points and nine rebounds and Maxx Stutz added 14 points to key the Grove City boys basketball team to a 61-40 victory over Franklin Monday.

With the win, the Eagles finished with a perfect 10-0 mark in the region (21-3 overall) entering Thursday's District 10 first-round playoff game against Meadville.

Jordan Fee added 10 points, nine assists, seven rebounds and four steals for the Eagles.

The Butler boys track and field squad defeated more than 30 teams to capture the Tri-State Track Coaches Association Championship Friday at Slippery Rock University.Fred Pinto, Doug Moran, Casey Piper and Mason McLaughlin won the 800-meter relay while Mike Martin medaled in the high, long and triple jumps.Rob Miller, Josh Rettig, Steve Monnie, Wade Grubbs, Ben Porter and Andy Strutt also earned medals.Several Tornado athletes qualified for the Pennsylvania State Indoor Track Championships at Penn State University this Saturday.Casey Piper (200 dash, 800 relay), Doug Moran (60 dash, 800 relay), Mike Martin (triple jump), Mason McLaughlin (800 relay), Andy Strutt (pole vault) and Fred Pinto (800 relay) will compete in the boys finals, while Ashley Lotz (high jump, triple jump), Lea Renwick (60 dash) and Amanda Malecky (400 dash) will compete in the girls meet.
