11:04 p.m. Feb. 5 — A car driven by Marsha Laurich, 36, of Butler and a car driven by John McGonigal, 22, of Butler collided at the intersection of Mercer and West Penn streets. Laurich was cited for fleeing the scene.1 a.m. Feb. 4 — A car driven by Elizabeth McAllister, 17, of Butler and a car driven by Louis Ambrose, 24, of Butler collided at the intersection of Main and Cunningham streets. McAllister was cited for not obeying a traffic signal.
5:12 p.m. Wednesday — Bennett Campbell, 19, of Pittsburgh and Janice Warren, 21, of Enon Valley, Lawrence County, were arrested for retail theft, criminal conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia after allegedly stealing items from the Target store at Butler Commons. Target's loss prevention department also provided police with video surveillance of the couple allegedly stealing items on Monday as well.
10:15 a.m. Friday — Tamara Frye, 47, of Butler was arrested for retail theft after allegedly stealing three DVDs, a designer shirt and a swimsuit from Boscov's Department Store at the Clearview Mall in Center Township.5:11 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Nathan Claypoole of Rimersburg struck the rear of a car driven by Beverly Renwick of Bruin at the intersection of Water and Main streets in Bruin. Renwick was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Claypoole was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. The Bruin Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.4 p.m. Thursday — Ezekeil Abraham Porter, 23, of Freeport was charged with theft of a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after allegedly stealing a Dodge Neon from Marburger Dairy in Forward Township. A former employee of the dairy, Porter was arraigned and jailed in Butler County Prison on $50,000 bond.12:27 p.m. Thursday — A car driven by Gerri Best, 22, of Rimersburg lost control on a snow-covered Route 68 in Fairview Township and struck a guardrail. Best and her passengers, Carrie Kirkahm, 22, and Steven King, 31, of Cabot, all were wearing seat belts and were not injured.10:59 a.m. Thursday — A pickup truck driven by David Dunn, 55, of Darlington, Beaver County, rolled onto its side on Route 422 in Muddy Creek Township. Dunn's passenger, Patricia Parisi, 62, also of Darlington, received minor injuries. Dunn was not injured. Neither person was wearing a seat belt. Dunn was cited for not driving a vehicle at a safe speed and driving under a DUI-related suspension.11:40 p.m. Tuesday — A tractor-trailer driven by Ali Shambe, 44, of Toronto, Canada, struck the rear of a tractor-trailer driven by Leslie Cline, 42, of Richmond, Ohio, that slowed for traffic on an icy Interstate 79 in Lancaster Township. Police could not verify if Shambe was injured. Cline was not injured.10 a.m. Monday — A vehicle driven by Joseph Barsotti, 62, of Harrisville landed in a ditch off a snow-covered Black Road in Marion Township. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.7:14 p.m. Feb. 10 — Walter D. Madden, 56, of Portersville was charged with driving under the influence, open lewdness, driving under a DUI suspension, fraudulent use of a registration plate, operation of a vehicle without an inspection, not having insurance and not having registration after allegedly pulling into a parking lot at the intersection of Routes 4007 and 108 in Worth Township and urinating there while a marked police cruiser was parked across the street. Madden was jailed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond.
8:18 a.m. Friday — Edward Kairys Jr., 56, of Pittsburgh lost control of his pickup truck on a slippery Interstate 79 in Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County, and the vehicle rolled onto its roof. Kairys and his passenger, Douglas Braden, 56, of Mars received minor injuries. Both men were wearing seat belts.
8:30 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Stacy Czap, 35, of Cranberry Township struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Kathy Cotherman, 53, of Emlenton that was stopped to turn on Route 322 in Ashland Township. Czap's car then hit a guardrail and went over an embankment. Two of Czap's passengers, a 9-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl, received minor injuries.8:20 a.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by Linda Benner, 59, of Emlenton and a car driven by John Stahl, 66, of Shippenville collided on Route 322 in Elk Township. The impact sent Benner's vehicle off the road into a tree. Stahl was seriously injured. Benner was wearing a seat belt and received minor injuries. The Shippenville/Elk Volunteer Fire Department and EMS, and Clarion Hospital EMS assisted at the scene.
