CRANBERRY TWP — UPMC Passavant Cranberry will host a "Heart Health; Matters of the Heart" seminar at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cranberry Township Senior Center, located in the municipal building, 2525 Rochester Road.
The free program will feature speaker Dr. Saleem Ahmed, a cardiologist. Discussion topics will include heart disease risks, prevention and treatment.
The one-hour seminar is the first in a Healthy Lifestyle Program series.

CLAY TWP — Moniteau School District will hold a kindergarten orientation at 9:30 a.m. Marcy 1 at Dassa McKinney Elementary School, Hooker Road.Speakers will include school administrators, the school nurse and the guidance counselor.Registration and information packets will be distributed. Completed packets, the student's birth certificate and immunization records are required for registration.Registration will be held by appointment March 14 and 15. A benefit spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Michael the Archangel School Hall, Center Avenue.Proceeds from the event will benefit Tommy Widenhofer, a patient at St. Jude's Hospital in Tennessee, who is fighting a malignant brain tumor.Cost for the dinner is $8 for adults and $4 for children.
