Heichel

Joseph R. Heichel, 83, of Elyria, Ohio, formerly of Butler, died Friday at Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio, after a long illness.

Born in Butler, May 1, 1923, he was the son of Joseph and Wyona Douthett Heichel.

He was a World War II veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martha Andre Heichel; two brothers, Donald Heichel of Butler and Richard Heichel of Newport, N.C.; four sisters, Thelma Marra, Dorothy Mercatell and Donna Palmer, all of Butler, and Helen Leill of Kansas City, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

<B>HEICHEL </B>— Friends of Joseph R. Heichel, who died Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at <B>THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 124 E. North St.Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with his nephew, the Rev.
