John Alton Taylor
John Alton Taylor, 84, of Cranberry Township died Saturday.
He retired in 1988 as a supervisor with Davey Tree Service, and for the past 11 years he worked at the Butler Auto Auction.
Mr. Taylor served in the Marine Corps in World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of the American Legion, the North Side Sportsman Club, the North Pittsburgh Past Finders, the Mars VFW and the North Park Athletic Association Softball. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was the beloved husband of Lillian Mae Blair Taylor; loving father of John A. Jr., David M. and Daniel P. Taylor; grandfather of Jackie, Cathy, Danielle, Melissa, Amanda and Jason; and great-grandfather of Paige, Megan and Marissa.
Also surviving are his siblings, Ralph and William Taylor, Florence Wike, Shirley Scott and Margaret Dick.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Charles and Raymond Taylor.
<B>TAYLOR </B>— Friends of John Alton Taylor, who died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>H.P. Brandt Funeral Home</B>, 1032 Perry Hwy, Ross Township.The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
