While many will try today to prove their love on Valentine's Day, matters on the heart were also taking center stage 36 years ago. In February of 1971 these five candidates were waiting to see who would wear the crown at the Queen of Hearts Ball at Butler County Community College. At center is Paula Yorns. A BCCC spokeswoman said the Queen of Hearts Ball was a relatively short-lived event, running from 1969 through 1971.
