Mary Fawn Cannon McBride, 83, of Clintonv-ille died at 4 p.m. Wedn-esday at her home after a long illness.

Born Oct. 15, 1923, she was the daughter of Joseph and Elda Hoffman Cannon.

She was a graduate of Clintonville High School and had been a secretary at Cooper Bessemer Energies prior to her marriage. She was a devoted wife and mother and sold B-Line Fashions from her home.

Mrs. McBride was a Methodist.

In younger years, she played piano and violin at events in her area. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, canning, gardening, singing, playing the piano, sewing, cooking, baking and spending time with her family.

Surviving are three daughters, Sue L. Stemmerich and her husband, Billy J., of Clintonville, Carol A. Peters and husband, T. Michael, of Mayport, Clarion County, and Linda K. Spencer and her companion, Bill, of Portland Ore.; a grandson, Rian J. Blair of Portland; a great-grandchild, Emma L. Blair of Portland; and two special little granddaughters, Cagney and Neicie of Mayport.

She also is survived also by her special care givers, Hilda, Eileen, Lacey, Cheryl and Jackie; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Richard E. (Esther A.) Vogan of Harrisville, Mrs. Calvin (Joyce) Stevens of Saegertown, Crawford County, and Jean McBride of Grove City; four brothers-in-law, Everett McBride and his wife, Hilda, Dale McBride and his wife, Janet, and William McBride and his wife, Carol, all of Harrisville and Victor McBride and his wife, Barbara, of Jamestown N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Nelson E. "Red" McBride, whom she married Jan. 22, 1945, died April 13, 2005. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Levon Cannon and his wife, Grace; a special aunt, Blanche Hoffman; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson McBride; two brothers-in- law, Ernest and Walter McBride; and two sisters-in-law, Marjorie McMurdy and Edna Haag.

<B>MCBRIDE </B>— Friends of Mary Fawn Cannon McBride, who died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007. will be receive from 2 from 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the <B>Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home</B>, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville.The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Anthony Catullo, pastor of Union Presbyterian Church in Clintonville, officiating. Pastor Jim Lewis, of the Butler County VNA Hospice, will assist.
