Robert and Elizabeth Fry

Robert and Elizabeth Fry of Frostproof, Fla., celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with an open house.

The former Elizabeth Blain married Fry Dec. 20, 1956, at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler.

They have four children, Brenda Caruso of Charlotte, N.C.; Barbara Moser of Trumbull, Conn.; Beverly Plocki of Saline, Mich.; and Bridget Shafer of Macungie.

They also have eight grandchildren.

Fry is retired from AK Steel, where he worked as a welder. He is a member of the Masonic Lodge in Kane.Mrs. Fry is retired from Butler School District, where she worked as an elementary school teacher. She is a member of Winterhaven Country Pattern Dance Club.The couple belongs to Union Congregational Church in Avon Park, Fla.

The Frys in 1956
