David J. Gibson

David J. Gibson, 78, of Cranberry Township died Wedn-esday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 22, 1928, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Clyde and Margaret Tranter Gibson.

He was an Army veteran and served in the Korean War.

Mr. Gibson was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the Harmony Lodge 429 F&AM, the Valley of New Castle Consistory and the Zelienople American Legion Post 474.

He owned and operated the Gibson Service Station.

He was an avid Pirates fan and enjoyed boating and spending time with his family.

Surviving are a sister, Edith Brain and her husband, Tom, of Harmony; a brother, Raymond Gibson of Monaca; his companion, Hazel White of Harmony; five nieces, and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Donald Gibson, and a nephew.

<B>GIBSON </B>— Friends of David J. Gibson, who died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway, Route 19, Harmony, with the Rev. Robert Keplinger, pastor of the English Lutheran Church of Zelienople, officiating.
